PLANNING THE FINAL SHOOT - PORTRAITS
With the deadline drawing ever nearer, concerns about location have come to the forefront of my thoughts. I ditched the old house that I used to live in because it seemed highly unlikely that I'd get a response from the owners - let alone in time for the shoot, and am still yet to get a reply from the school. Ideally I'd be taking my final photos in the school grounds around the various statues of Mary and in the Main Hall in front of the garishly ostentatious gold velvet curtains that drape around the whole room meeting in the middle of the stage with the Ave Maria, Svbmariae Nomine crest embroidered above. Would be perfect to shoot with natural light as one entire length of the room is glass, although near enough impossible to find photos of this online though due to the strict phone contracts.
Unfortunately with lack of responses from The Marist I've been frantically trying to contact local Catholic Churches but to no avail, most have turned around and said they are constantly asked by UCA students and have just had enough. Other places in the running are Waverley Abbey, churches in Frensham but most realistically a friend's house in Woking.
Because I've been so focused on sorting locations sadly I've lost the element of pattern and only being left with the house I'm naturally going to lose a lot of the religious connotations that would have been gained from the school or churches.
