SPIRITUALITY VIA PATTERN & VOID - PORTRAITS

Ikeda, R. (1996). Test Pattern [N°12].
Floor installation. Although it was somewhat a video displayed via a screen on the floor, the work was about light and void making pattern alongside sound as pattern. This is very different to Klimt's use of pattern as instead of organic, it's highly computerised - it emphasises this as well with how binary it is, like the binary code.

Kapoor, A. (1988). At The Edge Of The World II. seen here above dancer
Consumed by a deep void due to the use of form and colour. Deep tones will be easy to reconstruct for a photo but I'm unsure how form could be achieved.

Graham, D. (2016). Two V's Entrance-Way.
Again back to the idea that the universe is laughing at us. The piece being in a gallery setting, the viewer expects some kind of philosophical revelation or to experience some type of narrative but the enlightenment comes with the fact that there is nothing, and you should have known there was nothing because the entire piece is transparent.
