SOUND DESIGN DEVELOPMENT

Unsure whether the length of my chosen two lines of the passage would be enough content to go off of, I conferred with James and we came to the conclusion that I should take the whole verse and the following one. The prior two first verses were too character based and didn't touch on the toilet imagery or religious connotations that I wanted to focus on. In the ProTools workshops it became apparent that organ sounds can be created within the program which I can use if contacting my sister fails. The first time this was covered I didn't really understand, so asked James to repeat the proccess. I recorded this part of the workshop for future reference.

I'm Ian
Bug eyed slug guzzlah
My brain squished in my skull
And it wants to say hello

A fine accompaniment to your
Cod and chips
A mushy pea pulp at the sight
of your lips

(0:43-1:38)
The toilet calls
A pilgrimage from bar to stall
A porcelain halo awaits
It's got less bacteria than us all

But this is love in a bathroom stall
Poke your feet beneath the wall
Knickers round your ankles
Eyes to the floor
An upside-down smile
We're pissing for more

An eyeball over the sky scraper door
a barrier formed of a metal jaw
This could soar or this could flop
She screeches
THAT'S A NICE TOP!

And the sinks are snakes
and this. is. our. eden.
an east london station
exhale communication (x2)

And I say..
You smell like sweets
Are you what you eat?
Because I am honey!
And you? My bread and butter (laugh)

I'll have my pudding first
Have my cake and meet it
Is that what it is?
I am the female mantis

I'll bite your head off
Like a widgety grub in the jungle

Because

I'm Ian
Bug eyed slug guzzlah
