FEEDBACK & SOME REFERENCES

Whilst discussing ideas, someone recommended I watched Exposed 2, as it dealt with similar themes and was potentially aesthetically similar.

The room is fairly similar to how I'd want my set to be, I like the idea of an empty bedroom, similar to the energy of Emin’s My Bed crossed with previously mentioned Alice Phoebe Lou’s Something Holy video, but alongside this location, potentially cut with a blacked out studio and confined toilet cubicle.

I love the editing in these scenes, it’s just about not tacky. Will need to find out who did this or who is confident they can achieve better.

An interesting use of masks. Not sure what I would do similarly to this but I like it

The galaxy imagery reminded me of 'Ash or Coke' game - where you attempt to pick up every spec off your bed in order to find out if it is ash from your cigarette or escaped dust of cocaine.

Originally I assumed I'd be using exaggerated diagetic sound but this has tempted me to consider using choral or organ sounds again.

Jasper offered bones, which is great but would need to decide what location to use in or use continuously. Would also need someone to handle the found bones because gross.

I've been thinking more about this video, particularly the use of the mirror. As the film is going to be about me watching / reflecting on my own spiral it could be quite poignant to use mirrors to show 'myself' behind the camera. In one location 'I' could not be dressed in the vulture costume but the camera operator would be so the audience would be able to assume that whoever is filming is also representative of me. I'm also quite the fan of the abrupt grabbing that both simultaneously appears aggressive and weak.
