THIS IS SO UNCOMFORTABLE IT SHOULD BE ILLEGAL | ANOTHER SHIT POST
As a result of the Instagram explore page as well as some deep stalking, here are the posts that I saved after spending a couple days on the internet not really doing a whole lot.
Firstly we have Noel Fielding made of spaghetti by Nathan Wyburt who has recently made a collage of NHS workers out of their selfies and below, Gaga out of lipstick. I like the use of everyday and 'wrong' materials as well as the resulting lipstick pattern on his face. Then naturally, I stalked Noel Fielding and instantly saw links in use of colour. I found out that he uses Neocolor II wax pastels, so I did a lot of research on them. The below videos were the most informative things I've seen all year.
And here is the collection of random shit I liked with varying themes:
notable points - putting end of work in a drink to be consumed, magicians of the wiggle, smell of materials transporting through time
And here we have the real stalker-y shit. I somehow managed to end up at a video of a man that was in one of my film photos frolicking so hard through his allotment and it is the most wholesome content I love it. The whole cottagecore thing is really consuming my thoughts at the moment, hence the big walks. Second clip is of someone at Chelsea working with toilet roll. I've seen a lot of toilet roll art popping up but I liked how simple this one was. Thirdly, remember that guy that I met at a gig in like 2017 and stalked so hard I changed course, wrote an essay on him and have referenced him in practically everything I've done ever since? Well I met this guy at a gig at least six years ago and he's never posted much of his music but every time there's a 10 second clip somewhere I'm always amazed. I particularly like how he's edited the video to just black and neon green, which has kind of been in my head for a painting for a while but I was thinking of something more like an 80s science textbook illustration? Does that even make sense? Also peep all the unread messages :/
