GSA MLITT H3R3 I CUM
What better way to find out what a university looks for in a potential student than to look at their alumni?
I've been listening to a lot of podcasts whilst at my day job particularly Talk Art and found the interview with Martin Creed very useful
I've also been watching Chann Waugh's videos on YouTube as they graduated and successfully applied for the GSA MLITT. I've started to map out what they said about portfolios and some questions students were asked during their first week back.
I'm not sure where I'd being going with the project The Death of Sex, Drugs and Rock 'n' Roll, but it does seem to lend itself to a Tracey Emin confessional mono print diary? Considering the three subjects have been on a decline for myself personally in the last couple of years and has had a serious altering or loss of my personality, the themes are currently also a universal experience due to Lockdown. If you search my proposed title on the search engine Ecosia, the first result is this article from Through Catholic Lenses which I thought was rather apt.
The project on Seb's passing has been reasonably well worked out but I'm not really in the position to do much more until I can work out when Pete can get me back into UCA studios or other studio as will need the space to be large, white and also black, could be 2 different locations I guess. Started a storyboard for this even though I didn't put the images in. I'm not too precious about it at this stage, the main focus is the injecting and prolonged still shot of the boys in the jar and potential colour change.
